Northshore Utility District — Backflow Testing Requirements Kenmore and parts of Bothell, Lake Forest Park, Kirkland and Woodinville
If you received a backflow testing notice from Northshore Utility District, this page explains how their program works and how to schedule a certified tester.
Schedule Backflow TestThe short version
- Testing cycle: Annual. Every backflow assembly on your property must be tested by a Washington State certified Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT).
- Who sends the report: Under Northshore Utility District's program, your tester sends the completed report to the utility.
- What happens if you miss it: If you do not test your backflow assembly on an annual basis, and when notified to do so by the District, your water service may be terminated to protect the public water system.
How reports are submitted to Northshore Utility District
Northshore mails a reminder letter when your test is due. Completed reports can be emailed to backflow@nud.net or faxed to (425) 398-4432. Northshore says most testers send the paperwork to the district for you; keep a copy of your report.
